My female puppy marking territory in the kids play room?

My Yorkie Poo is 8 months old, she is house trained, but recently we have not allowed her to go into the children's play room. If by chance the gate is left open, she goes right in and urinates. Is she marking territory because the kids are always in there and she is not allowed?

1. since she hasnt been in there and since you dont allow her in there that why she pees in there... also you have told her ok dont pee here here and here but since she wanst allowed there you never said that one room. dogs are like kids... just close the gate or door what ever you have if not just buy a spray that makes the dog not wanna pee there...
2. Well, she could either be marking her territory because she feels the children are "hers" or she's confused and believes that's an acceptable place to go. Get some of that spray from Wal-Mart that marks the area as a no urination zone. They work very well!
