How much is a cheap 'kids room' size carpet?

I'm not entirerly sure how big the room is but that doest matter to much. It's not master bed room size, it's a normal size room for kids. Witch isnt to big. I just want to know the estamate for how much a cheap fairly small carpet is. I dont want any amazing material carpet, just something acceptable. Thanks for your help.

1. You can get a "guesstimate" basing it on a 1$ a s/f price. You can get mill end pcs and end cuts cheap if you check out the mom and pop stores.Some places specialize in mill ends so your stuck w/ the size they have on hand. Example... you need a 10 x 13 ( room size) , You ll have to get a 12 x something to fit. And that something might bi a 12 x 15 reminet Carpet mostly is sold as 12 ft wide, but you can sometimes find it in 15 ft wide.Price will vary this way depends on quaility of course. You Can even get a smaller cut pc that may not fit end to end and use like a "rug" Just use dbl sided tape to hold in place .GL
2. Take the measurements, and go to a carpet store or Home Center. You may be able to find a remnant that is the proper size.These are cheaper since they are left over pieces from a roll used elsewhere.
3. Only you know how big the room is, try using a tape measure. My ' kids ' room is 12' x 15' ( 180 sq ft or 20 sq yds ) and that is a small room in my house. Now considering that you did not give us the size , nor the type of carpet , or where you plan on buying the carpet (we have no idea where you live and what is available in your town) How can you expect anyone to even give you an estimate of your costs? try measuring the room , then go out to your local carpet places and price out the type of carpet you want. In other words get off your **** and do it yourself , don`t ask other people to do it for you. BTW my master b/r is 22' x 18' . not that big either

I'll tell you what, since your asking the community, I'll tell ya, go to your local flooring store, tell them a man, just a man told me to purchase whats called commercial carpet 28 ounce / w padding installed with tackless, or whats called looselaid, how much will it cost me?
