What is the difference between a play room and a bedroom for children? what do you put in both?
we are going to have a 'play room' in our house when we move in, but are unsure what needs to go in each room. obviously the bed and furniture goes in his room, but what goes in the play room? he will be 5 when we move in our house

- well if the room is big enough they could be the same room
- just throw all of your kids' toys in the play room that way you wont have to worry about cleaning up their bedroom
- Play room gets a tv and movies. Toys--toy boxes. A futon, if you want. Depends on how old your children are. Basically it helps them realize that when they go to their room, it is sleep time, and the game room for fun. You won't have to worry about them playing with toys in their bed.
- the playroom has toys, books etc. As they get older you might choose to add a computer, a TV and a gaming system like an x-box etc. I guess it's so the parents can keep an eye on what they are doing and also so the child leans that their room is for quiet time and sleeping.
- First 4 the playroom of course toys. Well in my little cousins (but they're girls) room they have they're toys, little tv, dress up, pics. of them on the wall, moon chairs, american girl dolls ( and things for them), board games. And bedroom thing that u can't play w/
- The play room can be more family oriented...like where you can play with your kid...so you can put down a carpet like one of those that has the roads/streets on it...http://www.toycon.com/games/images/big_92098.jpg an area where you keep his toys, maybe a kid-sized table and some chairs, and somewhere where you can sit and read a magazine or do whatever while he plays...
- 1] bedroom is easy - bed, dresser, chest of drawers, nightstand, etc. 2] playroom - set it up so it's easy to sort and store toys! a]wall one: shelves and/or cupboard deep enough to use storage containers for small items [ cars, legos ] and large enough for stacks [ board games, puzzles ] b] wall two: entertainment - TV, music, Cds, DVDs c] three: bookcase, with books, crayons and art supplies 3 Must haves: a] an intercom! b] table with two to four chairs - for snacks, art work, games, etc. c] suggestion: comfy seating he can grow into - such as a durable sectional [ later can be used for sleepovers ] d] a rocker near reading area 6] a large 'splat mat' for under art work
